A Quilted Halloween Table Runner

A friend of mine gave me a stack of Halloween quilt squares that I thought were adorable.  I wanted to make a tablecloth out of them, but instead decided to create several table runners to use around my house.

I cut them all into all different sizes so that they would have more of a crazy quilt feel to it.

Then sewed them together any which way I chose, trying not to create a pattern.

Then I sewed them into rectangles, and quilted them in a zigzag pattern.  On the opposite side I used a pattern that would be good for Thanksgiving, or any occasion.

I actually used the zigzag pattern that was on the back to sew the quilt pattern using black thread.

As you can see, I used a black border around the edges.

I made several runners.  The one at the top of the page is for my dining room table.  The next one is for a buffet in my dining room.

And I made a square one for the kitchen table.  You might notice the zigzag pattern.

I finished with matching dish clothes to hang on my oven.

I think they turned out really cute!

I even made the bandana tablecloth to go on the dining room table.
