Worm Wednesday, A Reading Competition on Wednesdays for Book Worms




I thought that I would do a fun reading challenge on Wednesdays in my class.  

Every Wednesday I would have the kids read for 5-10 minutes.  They need to make a note of where they started and where they finished.  


While they are reading I will place a few candy worms on each student's desk.  


Then at the end of the time I will reward the student who read the furthest with a bag of gummy worms.

Here is the printout for you.  Just click on it to make it larger, then save it into your pictures, or copy and paste into you print program.


I sized the picture to a full size sheet.  Printed it out on card-stock and then cut out the header.  When cutting out the header, I folded it over and cut out the sides and bottom.  That way I could staple it to the top of a sandwich baggie filled with gummy worms.

Lady Bug Treat Bag - FREE Printable and Tutorial

Here is a fun gift idea for a party, or class room.  Give the gift of lady bugs.  I have a cute printout that you can use to give your gift a professional look.  Just click on the printout to make it large, then right click and save it into your pictures, or click and paste it into your printing program.

Here's how to get the bugs into the bags:
Here's how to add the header:
 
Print out the graphic on to card stock. 
Fold it over at the top along the top red edge:
 
Cut around the red edge on the two sides and the bottom.
 
Cut the 5" wide cellophane bag at about 6" high:
 
 
Fill the bag with Lady Bugs and Moist Leaves (not shown)
Make sure to poke small holes in the bag with a pin:
 
 
Tape the top of the cellophane bag to the inside of the card:
 
Fold the card over and then put 3 or 4 staples 
across the bottom edge:

Surprise Someone with a "EGG"cellent Surprise - FREE Egg Printouts to Color

I designed this so that I could send my daughter an
"EGG"cellent care package. 
I have two different signs that you can print out.  One is for an "EGG"cellent Day.  The other is for an "EGG"cellent Easter.  Then I have seven different sheets of eggs that you can print out. 

To print these, just click on the picture to make it large.  Then right click and save it into your pictures, or copy and paste it into you print program.  You can resize it to the size that you need.
I handed out the eggs to friends and family.  I had them color them and add a note on the back.  I got back over fifty different eggs.

The Ice Cream Post - Money Can't Buy Everything, But It Can Buy Ice Cream!
