Tell-A-Picture, A Fun, Easy and Simple Game for the Entire Family!

Here is an example of how it's played:

You start out with one piece of paper and one pencil for each player. The players all sit around a table.  It's works best with 4-5 players.

1. Each person writes a sentence at the top of the paper:

2. The paper is passed to the person on the left.  That person draws a picture of the sentence underneath, leaving a lot of room at the bottom of the page:

3.  Fold over the top sentence, leaving only the picture exposed.  Pass the paper to the person on the left.  That person will write a sentence of exactly what they see in the picture:

4.  Fold over the paper underneath the picture so that only the sentence is exposed.  Then pass the paper to the person on the left:

5.  The person on the left draws a picture of the sentence then folds the paper over underneath the sentence so that only the picture is exposed and passes it to the person on the left:

6.  The next person writes a sentence of exactly what they see in the picture.  Folds over the top picture and passes it to the person on their left:

7. The Next person draws the picture of what they see in the sentence.  Then folds down the sentence and passes it to the person on their left:

8.  The next person writes a sentence for the picture, then folds the paper over underneath the picture so that only the sentence is exposed:

9. Keep repeating the same pattern until you have several pictures and sentences.  Make sure you end with a sentence:

10.  When you are all done, have the last person holding the paper read the first sentence and the last sentence:

Once you get the idea of the game you can alter it different ways.  An idea that we have done is to stack all the papers in a pile and just pull them out at random.  Have fun!
